CHARITY’S CLOSET THRIFT STORE DONATES OVER $2 MILLION TO SUPPORT HIS HOUSE.
Thanks to the remarkable, sustained generosity of its donors and volunteers, Charity’s Closet reached a new milestone in May 2019. Since 2006, over $2 million has been donated to HIS House.
Every dollar donated goes towards providing safe shelter and supportive services for homeless men, women, and children residing at HIS House. When people gain access to stable housing, families are healthier. Dignity is restored. The impact of Charity’s Closet has been far-reaching, and we can’t wait to see what this community of volunteers does next.
“We have been able to expand our services thanks to the generous donations from Charity’s Closet. We want to say thank you to all the volunteers who make this possible as well as to the community who donate their clothing and household items to Charity’s Closet. You are making a difference in the lives of homeless men, women and children every time you donate or shop. This is a simple way to help give back to our neighbors in need.” Carrie Buck, Executive Director, HIS House.
When the local community donates clothing or household items to Charity’s Closet, the proceeds from the sales are invested back into the community. To start donating and/or shopping visit https://charityscloset.org/. To learn more about HIS House visit www.hishouseoc.org.
About Charity’s Closet
