Placentia Grocery Outlet Gives Back to HIS House
From July 1 – July 31, the Placentia Grocery Outlet is raising awareness and funds to support HIS House through their Independence from Hunger Campaign. Customers are given the opportunity to donate $5 or more in-store or online and receive a coupon for $5 off a future purchase of $25 or more. The goal is to raise $3,000 to provide food to the hungry and homeless in our community.
“We chose HIS House for several reasons! HIS House provides transitional shelter to families and individuals who are homeless, offers a home-like environment where residents can sleep in a private bed, prepare meals, read or do homework, and lots more. It has been an honor for my family, and I be a part of HIS House. Thank you for all that you do to make Placentia a great place to live!” said Thoa Nguyen, Owner of Placentia Grocery Outlet.
HIS House is a 54-bed transitional housing program in Placentia, CA. HIS House provides safe shelter, daily meals, case management, counseling, financial education, job training and afterschool tutoring for homeless families throughout Northern Orange County.
“We are so grateful for our local community who has come together to fight hunger and homelessness. Our goal is to provide supportive services and housing for every individual who may need them,” said Carrie Buck, Executive Director.
This donation of food will mean hundreds of homeless families’ lives will be transformed, and the cycle of hunger and homelessness will be broken. Thank you to our partners and donors for seeing the need and being a part of the solution!
